How Traffic Warrants Work in Bryan County
A State Court ticket in Bryan County creates a duty to pay or appear by a set date. Miss it, and the court can record a failure to appear. An arrest warrant or bench warrant may follow. You will see the terms FTA, arrest warrant, and bench warrant in Georgia and Bryan County notices alike. Capias pro fine is not a term these courts use. Richmond Hill and Pembroke, meanwhile, keep city traffic and ordinance cases in their own municipal courts, apart from Bryan County State Court. Pay the wrong court and the right file stays open. So read the citation first. The issuing court named there tells you which payment or records channel to use.
Bryan County FivePoint Is a Citation Tool
The official FivePoint portal handles payment for eligible Bryan County State Court tickets. Lookup runs on a citation number or a driver's-license number. From there the screens move through information, amount, payment, and receipt. Full or partial payment is offered, and the service fee shows up at transaction time. New citations are slow to load, though. The portal allows at least three weeks before a ticket appears. It also warns that a ticket the system cannot find may still carry a fine owed. That gap matters when a court date is near. If your citation is missing or the date has passed, call the State Court traffic clerk at 912-653-3876. The portal's opening screen shows the citation and license-number fields you will use.

Bryan County Traffic Warrant Checks
Georgia runs no statewide traffic-citation database, and Bryan County publishes no public warrant portal. A real warrant check therefore means working the official channels, and keeping citation status and warrant status separate.
- Read the citation to identify State Court, Richmond Hill Municipal Court, or Pembroke Municipal Court.
- Use that court's citation portal only to find the ticket and payment details.
- Call the issuing clerk and ask whether an FTA or bench warrant exists and what court action is required.
- Call the Bryan County Sheriff at 912-653-3800 or 912-756-2181 to ask what warrant information it will confirm.
- Request an existing court or sheriff record when a filed status or recall order is needed.
- If DDS received an FTA report, confirm the court release and DDS status separately.
The Georgia Courts ticket page expressly explains the lack of one statewide database.

Because state-level access stops there, the issuing Bryan County or city court stays the center of any warrant check. Its clerk holds the file.
After a Bryan County Traffic Date Is Missed
After a missed Bryan County traffic date, call the clerk instead of trusting an online payment to fix things. The Bryan County State Court forms page carries the redocket materials, and the court says a person who missed a traffic date may qualify for rescheduling or redocketing. Current rules allow one self-represented traffic redocket request, or a request through counsel. The fee is $75. Mail the request or bring it in person with cash, a money order, or a cashier's check. Cards and personal checks are not accepted for that filing. Remember that filing is not recall. The Clerk does not withdraw the FTA or tell the Sheriff to recall a bench warrant until you appear or the court enters an order. Until then, assume the warrant stands. Ask the clerk what the court needs from you.
Traffic Warrants: What They Show
A trustworthy court record links the warrant to its citation and its issuing court. A vendor custody roster may show some fields after booking, but it is not the warrant file.
| Citation or case number | The best routing key; an abstract citation reference may be shown as TR-YY-NNNNNN. |
|---|---|
| Charge | The cited traffic offense or later FTA entry, as recorded by the court. |
| Issuing court | State Court, Richmond Hill Municipal Court, or Pembroke Municipal Court. |
| Amount | Fine, late fee, service fee, or bond are distinct amounts; confirm each live. |
| Status | Pending, paid, FTA, recalled, or disposed status must come from the court. |
| Order or release | The signed recall/redocket result and any electronic DDS release are separate records. |
Bryan County Traffic Payment Deadlines
Bryan County's traffic instructions say an eligible citation should be paid in full before the assigned date. A $100 late fee applies if payment is not received by 5:00 p.m. on the court date. The clerk takes cash, money orders, and cashier's checks, but not personal checks. Visa or Mastercard work through FivePoint, with a processing fee added. Paying before the deadline may dispose of an eligible citation. Once an FTA or warrant exists, money alone may not close it. Ask whether redocketing, an appearance, bond, or a judge's order is required. Keep the receipt. Then get court confirmation that any warrant status actually changed. Mail payments go to Bryan County State Court, P.O. Box 670, 151 South College Street, Pembroke. With a close deadline, verify delivery and eligibility with the traffic clerk. The vendor's processing charge and the court's $100 late fee are different things. Neither is a warrant bond. Bryan County publishes no countywide traffic-warrant bond schedule, so bond terms come from the court itself.
Richmond Hill Traffic Warrants Use City Court
Richmond Hill Municipal Court handles the city's traffic and ordinance cases. Its nCourt portal searches by citation number, letters included, and says a new citation may take five days to show up. If a number fails, try dropping a leading zero. These are lookup tips only, not warrant answers. Before appearing or trying to clear an FTA, call the court at 912-756-5645. Sessions are held at the Richmond Hill Police Department on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 2 p.m., but confirm the current date and instructions first. The separate Bryan County city court warrant route walks through both municipal courts, since Bryan County's city cases do not run through State Court.
Clearing a Bryan County Traffic Warrant
Clearing a Bryan County traffic warrant starts with the issuing court, not a payment search. What comes next depends on the posture of the case. If the citation is still payable, one path applies; if an FTA has posted or a judge has signed a warrant, another does.
- Confirm the citation, case number, court, balance, FTA, and warrant status with the clerk.
- Ask whether payment, a redocket request, counsel, bond, or a court appearance is required.
- Submit only the current form and accepted payment type to the correct clerk.
- Appear as ordered and wait for the court's ruling rather than assuming submission equals recall.
- Verify the court notified the Sheriff and, where applicable, sent the DDS release.
Warning: A portal receipt does not by itself recall a warrant or release a Georgia DDS failure-to-appear suspension.
Bryan County FTA and DDS Are Separate
Missing a traffic date in Bryan County can trigger two things at once: an FTA in the court's file and a license suspension handled by Georgia DDS. The DDS side runs on its own clock. An FTA suspension takes effect 28 calendar days after DDS gets its notice. After the court resolves the case, it usually sends release information to DDS electronically, but DDS still has to process that release as its own confirmation step. The official DDS guidance walks through the notice and electronic-release process.

That state process offers no Bryan County warrant search, and it can't replace the issuing court's recall record. Ask the court directly.
How Traffic Warrants Trigger License Holds
One missed date in Bryan County can leave records in several systems. Treat each as its own item to confirm.
| Record | Trigger | Resolution source |
|---|---|---|
| Traffic citation | Officer-issued charge and court date | Issuing court payment or disposition |
| FTA or bench warrant | Missed appearance or unresolved court duty | Appearance and/or court recall order |
| DDS suspension | Court reports failure to appear | Court electronic release, then DDS processing |
A clear result in one system proves nothing about the others. Check the Bryan County court file first, the Sheriff's warrant status if needed, and DDS last.
